Greetings [$fname],
October is International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual health campaign spearheaded by major breast cancer organizations
to increase awareness of the disease. Many of our patients acknowledge this month in your own way. Some make sure to schedule their yearly
mammogram during October, others remind a mother, sister, aunt for friend to schedule their mammogram, some make a donation to a breast cancer
organization and others sponsor a Pink Honor Light through the Arizona Institute for Breast Health's Pink Light District initiative.
No matter what you do, bringing about awareness and early detection is the key. One way to be sure you are involved is by remembering
to do your Breast Self-Exam. To remind you do to so, we are sending our monthly
"Love Note" because we care about you and
your breast health.
If you have any questions on the proper way to do a Breast Self-Exam,
please click here
for a step-by-step approach to completing the exam.
If you have additional questions about doing your monthly exams, please ask for Diane during your next visit and she will answer any of your questions. If you
would like to schedule a Physical Breast Exam during your next mammogram, please be sure to let our Scheduling Coordinator know when you call!
Best regards,
Belinda Barclay-White, MD
